D’oh! Een van de leukste muzikale verzamelingen uit de geschiedenis van The Simpsons verschijnt eindelijk op vinyl. Songs In The Key Of Springfield (Original Music From The Television Series) brengt liedjes, thema's, medleys en hilarische muzikale momenten uit de klassieke afleveringen van de legendarische animatieserie samen op een kleurrijke 2LP-set.
Deze speciale editie verscheen op 4 september 2026 en bestaat uit twee 140-grams platen: één op Canary Yellow Vinyl en één op Baby Pink Vinyl. Daarmee past de uitvoering perfect bij de kleurrijke wereld van Springfield.
De verzameling opent uiteraard met de uitgebreide versie van The Simpsons Main Title Theme. Daarna volgen tientallen herkenbare momenten uit de serie, waaronder We Do (The Stonecutters' Song), Dancin' Homer, Homer & Apu, 'Round Springfield en het hilarische “Oh, Streetcar!” (The Musical).
Fans zullen ook onmiddellijk nummers herkennen als The Monorail Song, Flaming Moe's, Happy Birthday, Lisa en verschillende thema's van Itchy & Scratchy. De muziek van de serie is nauw verbonden met componist Alf Clausen, die op deze uitgave onder andere wordt gecrediteerd als compilation producer, conductor, arranger en voor de liner notes. Ook bedenker Matt Groening leverde liner notes.
